Ifyou're not finding common place chain based issues from the V6 or V8 vehicles, then it's probably a reasonable expectation to be problem free to at least 124k miles. Even with all the chain problems on the 2.0T, mine was still fine enough when I replaced it at 130k miles.

Audiwanted to shove the weight of the engine as far back as possible, which is hard to do with an AWD car. Audis understeer with so much weight ahead of the front axle. So they moved all the timing chains to the rear of the engine, or so the story goes. Also, they wanted to make a very compact engine to shove in small cars.

The2nd shows timing belt cam gear positions at TDC cylinder #5 (where engine is set for belt change and to check internal cam gear timing). The 4 holes on the gears should be dead level with large holes pointing inward at each other. The 3rd shows cam gear lock installed (used during belt cahnge), proving proper belt timing at TDC
