Mikami as a character is kind of cool, and Light actually losing and seeing the event's unfold after is interesting but those dont make up for the actual plot. Like could Light not have stitched a piece of the death note into his pocket and then written the names with a small pencil?

- The ending alone made me dislike the whole Anime. So I’m going to say the anime was pretty amazing until the episode that L. died. After that it was so boring I almost couldn’t finish it and I regretted I finish because I just straight up hated the ending. So 9.9/10 score before L. death and 5/10 after L. death. Stupid disgusting ending.

Light Yagami's death in the Death Note anime differed slightly from the manga version, but the end result is similar nonetheless. Light has a plan to defeat Near, but Teru Mikami's unwise actions give Near the upper hand, exposing Light as Kira. Cornered, Light starts to panic, which gives his enemies the chance to finish him off.
