Based on everything I can find, IBIS is considered a mechanical process. 5-axis In Body Image Stabilization can only be done using sensor shift techniques. There is no cropping. Your describing digital image stabilization or electronic image stabilization. The 90D doesn't have any sensor shift capabilities. Lens (OIS) Stabilization with f/1.4 lenses. This lens doesn't have image stabilization and neither does the body of the EOS M cameras. This is not uncommon for lenses with extremely wide apertures - like this one. Canon, for example, rarely include IS with wider-angled lenses that have wide apertures.

Edward1064. The 7D2 may give you a bit more resolution than the 60D, but you probably won't see it unless you enlarge the pictures from both cameras. Compare them at 100% resolution and you may notice the difference. Beyond that, improvement in sharpness usually comes from using a better lens.
