S should cost thousands more.. But the GT was/is $2K higher to begin with. I've seen some ads for GTs at $15,999, but the dealer is then adding prep/freight on top of that. I think the current rebate from KTM is $3K so that puts the GT about $1K less than the SA-S. The 1301cc V-twin might appear unchanged, but looks can be deceiving. KTM shaved 3.5 pounds from the LC8 motor thanks to thinner engine casings, and spent gases are expelled through new headers.
In some ways the Super Duke GT is a combination of two existing KTMs, that super-naked Super Duke R and the 1290 Super Adventure that shook up the dual-purpose class last year with its performance and all-round ability. Its engine shares that duo’s basic engine layout of 1301cc, dohc, eight-valve V-twin with cylinders angled at 75 degrees.
